Homosexuality: Am I Destined to Be Alone?

Many people think that because I experience same-sex attractions, I have only two choices in life: Get into a relationship with another guy and be “fulfilled” or be single and alone (and therefore, miserable). They forget that there is far more to life than either of those choices!

How Dan’s Faith Journey Led Him to the Catholic Church

Daniel Mattson is just like you and me. He is Catholic, baptized at Immaculate Heart of Mary in Lansing. He is a passionate disciple of God, citing Scripture and calling on the Lord through prayer. He is also attracted to men, and for many, this acknowledgment of the latter means he isn’t welcome in the Church. Dan vehemently disagrees...

Listen

I don’t know how to respond when someone “explains away” their bad behavior by just saying, “God made me this way.” Is that true?

As Catholic Christians, we believe that God made us good. We are created in His image and likeness and we will bear that image and likeness into eternity. But while we retain that intrinsic goodness and dignity, not everything in us is good. There was a thing called The Fall.

Our Hearts are Restless

I have just watched an extraordinary and deeply moving film, soon to be released by the Catholic apostolate Courage, called "Desire of the Everlasting Hills". It is knit together, like a polychronic chorale, from the personal witnesses of three people, two men and one woman, who have come out of a life of sexual sin and into the wonderful light of Christ. By “wonderful” I do not suggest breathless good cheer and drinks all around. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
